How can we achieve our objective?
After completing our survey of demand for facilities for arts and culture in Ealing, CEPAC needed to show how this need could be practically satisfied. We have moved on to see how best the need for a new flexible performance arts centre in central Ealing could be delivered. We have now completed a full feasibility study, carried out by an external professional consultant.
This new project has been jointly funded by Ealing Council, the four major developers in the town centre, and ourselves, with backing and help from the Central Ealing Neighbourhood Forum. You can see a summary of the results here, in the form of the executive summary prepared by our consultant Artservice. The full feasibility study shows how to translate the needs identified in the survey into a viable project. As well as securing a suitable site, we will need full participation from a substantial developer - work on which we are already having discussions with more than one possible partner. Further funds and grants will also be needed. This task will not be easy. However we have made a major step forward by securing an undertaking from Ealing Council that it will help by facilitating discussions with all the main stakeholders in the town centre, as part of the shared objective of seeing Ealing as a major centre for arts and culture in west London. You too can help ensure our joint efforts don't lead to an impenetrable ceiling, and take part by signing up to our mailing list or helping with a donation by completing a gift aid form. This can be downloaded here or at: /uploads/1/3/3/4/13344659/cepac_gift_aid_declaration.doc. Together we can make it happen. |
